It was 29C here on Sunday. We had two days of thunderstorms and it has cooled a lot but we're going to be cooler till at least Sunday with night time temps around 16C then it is heading back to 29C. We still have the duvet cover on with no duvet.
That being said I'm also working hard to get the new CH boiler (pellets), installed and running as I'll be gone on Saturday or Sunday and won't be back till mid October. Chances are that the temps will drop a long way at night by then and the boiler may be needed.
So I have the pipe cutters and soldering torch out, the concrete platform was made on Saturday and we (#1 son and I as they guy I usually have helping me can't help me totally lift the boiler clear), put the boiler on. I have to go get another adapter for the pipes as I put the sodding vent T connector on the wrong pipe, then I intend to fire it up tomorrow if I can get the last bit of plumbing and wiring done.
The vent pipe which caused the most angst, till I opened it up and got the installation book out, will be the easiest part of all. Go figure.
At least this winter I won't be getting up at 8am to a cold house. Even if it does cost me twice as much to fuel it.
