Good Morning Tuesday

Postby JanB » 03 Oct 2023, 03:15

Morning everyone

Bit dark out there  but as usual, the sky is stunning with the stars and quite warm. And another warm day.

Neither of us could sleep, so Grumpy is having coffee and biscuits and I'm having a cheeky wine

Both got slightly sore and heavy arms, but apart from that, nothing as yet.

I have ironing to do later and Grumpy will be painting the window reveals which he forgot to do

Black pork cheeks for dinner. No idea why, as it will be hot and they have to cook for about 3 hours in the oven, apart from it's birthday week and he gets to choose the dinners

Hope you get through today okay Ally xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody,

It is only 16.4C Resisting putting the CH on. Will have to get the big thick wolly cardigan out. Am going to Boundary Mill next week. Will see if they have any.

It has been raining and there are still lots of grey clouds. Waiting for an engineer to come and service the alaram system. Have it done every year.
Said he will come any time between 9.00 a.m and 12,00 noon.
Get a reduction on the house insurance.

Have a good day everybody.

Update on the sore arms. I'm fine, Grumpy is very sore and can't lift it, so no painting.

A lazy day, I think

A lovely, sunny and warm morning now 8-)

Morning all.
Grim, grey and raining atm, but it's supposed to clear up in a while.
Well done on the house insurance Cruiser! I hope Grumpy's arm improves soon Jan.
In a while I'm taking MrsC and her sis to our son's house to do a spot of cleaning.
It's not a day for outside stuff so I'll have to do something about the house.
Update on the car crash yesterday. The driver clipped a parked vehicle and flipped her car. What I didn't realise is that when I saw the car she was still inside it. The fire brigade turned up to cut her out of it. She is apparently stable in hospital.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, it’s a lovely sunny morning here but fresh, anything is better than rain though. I was up early as the car was being collected for its service at 8.15. I put a wash in the machine last night, was all ready to sort it and get it on the line, but I forgot to press the button  However it should be done by now so I will get it out. Edward has gone to play golf. I’m going to walk down to the harbour to buy some fish and I’ll also pop to the butchers to get some chicken Kiev, Kellie is here today and she loves it. Otherwise there is ironing to be done, the same ironing that has been resting in the basket since Friday

Hello and good morning all

Jan, do you not have a slow cooker - pork (and beef) cheeks are absolutely amazing when done in one; so so tender. Take it easy both of you today and rest those arms xxxx
Osc, hope you get the fish and chicken etc... enjoy the afternoon with Kellie
Crommers, that's kind of MrsC and her sister to clean the house; if they have spare time and you don't mind the drive - fancy coming to mine afterwards?
Cruiser, hope the engineer turns up on time and well done on the house insurance
Saundra, the weather really is odd. Hope you have a lovely day

Office day for me so nothing exciting to report

Thinking of Ally

have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s clouding over after a bright but cool start.

Had a nice walk with Bill first thing, it’s getting so muddy though now. I expect that’s how it’ll be now for the next eight months.

The washing is on the line, not sure if it’ll dry enough to be ironed this afternoon though. That might be a job for tomorrow.

Football tonight, and as Joe is in Poole I’m bringing on John as a sub.

Have a good day all :)

Good morning everyone :)

Thinking of you, Ally x

Jo, yep muddy walks from now on  xx

Morning Saundra :) xx

Ria, I’d be lost without my slow cooker in the winter xx

Crommers, I’m in the queue behind Ria ;) xx

Cruiser, Mick just managed to get us a good reduction on insurance for our new car. Happy days :) xx

We’re out having breakfast - our favourite weekday haunt - Portivo Lounge - is closed for refurb :o so we’re in Corretto’s instead. At least sans Fraggle we can sit inside  Round to D’s at lunchtime then we’re collecting the new car at 3pm :D :D

Ooohhh, exciting :Hi: :Hi:

Change of plan again.

We need to sort out a few things in Ourique, so rather than run around tomorrow, getting the shopping too, we're heading in now.

Grumpy has had a painkiller, but is still moaning  Apparently, the paracetamol was too big
