Good morning Friday!

Postby Osc » 06 Oct 2023, 06:56

Well I don’t think I’ve ever started the daily thread before! I’m up very early as the car is having its NCT at 9.35 and although it is not that far away, I’m giving myself an hour to get there through rush hour traffic. Edward very kindly got up to make my breakfast. I’m expecting an order from Boots, that’ll arrive in the post this morning, and we have a Tesco delivery this afternoon. We plan to go dancing tonight but that can change.

Good morning Osc and everyone - happy Friday

Good luck for the NCT this morning Osc. Makes sense leaving extra travel time during rush hour.
Another nippy but clear start to the day here; it's quite windy which is adding to that nip in the air. The usual Friday wfh for me today which means the usual mix of work and pootle. Got a lady popping round a bit later to collect some kefir grains from me - I've been making my own kefir yoghurt for some time now and she'd never knew you could make your own vs spending a silly amount of money on the ready made stuff.

Have a lovely day all xx

Good morning Osc and anybody else whois up.
Hop your car passes its test.

i had to look twice to make sure i had the corrcet day and it was you. I have been the first one a few times, but it is usually Ally.

It has been raining againan there are still grey clouds. Only 17C again. The sun is trying to come out. Am going to Chorley onthe bus. Don't have to
worry about driving and parking. Will get some meat, fish and cheese.
Back home will just be pootling again.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning everyone

Cooler start and quite cloudy, wispy clouds and another warm day at 34C.

Good luck with the car Osc and hope yesterday was okay, for E x

Odd happening yesterday, we were coming home in the semi dark, lights on the car and just about to turn up our track when we saw this person on a horse. Nothing bright on her or the horse and she started screaming at us to slow down  As we were almost stopped (Grumpy does not drive fast at the best of times and always brakes before the turn off) we had no idea what she was on about. Carried on up the drive and she came after us  shouting and screaming that we should slow down for horses. I'm afraid I told her to go away

Just found out she lives not too far from us and has a habit of riding around, in the dark, when high on whatever drug she is on  >She was down in the bar last night, apparently, completely off her face

Anyway, a lovely day yesterday, apart from that. Lunch was lovely, service was dire.

I'm off to the dreaded coffee morning later, taking Lynda, as she wants to meet more local people. But I'll get some books, hopefully.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Nice and bright again today.

Good luck with the NCT, hope your car passes okay Osc.
I make my own yogurt too Ria, but I cheat and use Easiyo, absolutely delicious.
Cruiser enjoy your trip to Chorley.
Hope you're not too sore after the fall yesterday Jan. You do have some strange neighbours, the woman on the horse sounds absolutely bonkers!!

Usual Friday washing on the go, but I'm leaving the bed change until tomorrow. Instead today is operation StrideOn, once it's sorted at the right height for me, I'll be practising as much as possible. Hoping I can use it as it would make getting round the house so much easier. Also expecting a Sainsbury's delivery later this afternoon, it's all go here

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon.
Windy and warm here.
We've had a busy morning, off to the farm to buy eggs, then to the train station to get mrsC's ticket to York next Wednesday, then to Home Bargains and Sainsbo's.
Fingers crossed for the car Osc. Ria, Kefir yoghurt? Enjoy the trip out Cruiser. Jan, the thought does occur that if the lady continues to ride around on her horse in the dark whilst off her face on pharmacuticals, she might not be around for much longer! Operation StrideOn sounds a bit daunting jen!
Have a nice day everyone.

Afternoon everyone :)

Today started on a worrying note, my friend Em got a call from her mum's carer while we were in the SW meeting - she'd had to call an ambulance :( Emma left immediately, of course, so some VV vibes would be very much appreciated for A, who is 93 and extremely poorly :(

We've just picked Becky and Fraggle up from the station - it's lovely to have them home :) Jo, I have photos to put on later

Love to everyone! xxxx
