Calls to stop the attacks in Gaza

Postby Suff » 10 Oct 2023, 15:37

Because Children are getting killed.

Now I'm not going to go all rabid and say serves the children right. It doesn't. But I'm also not going to put the blame on Israel on this one either.

In WW2 the allies killed over 2m German civilians. I'm pretty sure that there were hundreds of thousands of children killed.

People talk about de-escalation and the end to hostilities. Well we de-escalated world wars and ended world wide hostilities. If Hamas truly cared about their "children" they would have sent them south into Egypt as soon as the attacks started.

Instead they had celebrations on the street at Israeli children dead.

This is going to be brutal and children are going to die. I just hope, fervently, that as few children as possible are in the line of fire. In the hope that if Hamas is gone and peace reigns for long enough, that new children will get a chance to grow up in peace and prosperity.

Jeez!!

It is not an 'either or problem', it is a 'both' problem.

Israel projects outwards peace and communication to neighbouring Islamic states, and it works - except for Iran and others. Hamas and Hezbollah project war into Israel because they cannot accept the Sharm-el-Sheikh accord of 2005, and that also works

It could have been different if both sides had accepted, but it wasn't to be.

However, Israel makes it worse by allowing the creation and expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

The Palestinians want, as they see them, their lands back. Israel treats those lands as spoils of war, and theirs. History teaches us that neither side can win.

I don't mention the Hamas Convention for no reason.

Parts of Article 13.

Now and then the call goes out for the convening of an international conference to look for ways of solving the (Palestinian) question. Some accept, others reject the idea, for this or other reason, with one stipulation or more for consent to convening the conference and participating in it. Knowing the parties constituting the conference, their past and present attitudes towards Moslem problems, the Islamic Resistance Movement does not consider these conferences capable of realising the demands, restoring the rights or doing justice to the oppressed. These conferences are only ways of setting the infidels in the land of the Moslems as arbitraters. When did the infidels do justice to the believers?

There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. The Palestinian people know better than to consent to having their future, rights and fate toyed with. As in said in the honourable Hadith:

What is there to talk about. One side has pre rejected any and all attempts to have peace.

Article 8

Allah is its target, the Prophet is its model, the Koran its constitution: Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes.

Article 13, Slaves

This is whom you are talking about sitting down and negotiating a peace.
It is never going to happen.

Yes, I did read the covenant, should you ask, all of it.

And the intransigence on the Israeli side is never mentioned, certainly not in the West.
This is whom you are talking about sitting down and negotiating a peace.
It is never going to happen.

Correct, on both sides.

I I recall correctly, after the 6 days war Israel ceded significant territory.

You know if they weren't so dead set on killing every Jew they could find in order to cleanse the land of them and take over their paradise and turn it back into a desert, they would realise that not demanding a separate state, becoming part of Israel and Israeli citizens, would see more Palestinians in Israel than Israeli's. Because Israel gives citizenship and full voting rights to all who live there, currently 20% of Israel is Arab Palastinian.

With the 2m in Gaza and the rest in the West bank plus the 5m in the rest of the ME, they would comfortably outnumber the Jewish community and be in control of the country.

But instead they try to murder their way out of their situation.

Stupid is as Stupid does.

Israel gave back the Sinai Peninsula in 1982 - 15 years after the Six Day War and almost 10 years after the Yom Kippur War. It was a pragmatic move as Sinai is largely desert, almost uninhabited, and would be prohibitively expensive to secure and administer. It is almost four times the size of the State of Israel.
You know if they weren't so dead set on killing every Jew they could find in order to cleanse the land of them and take over their paradise and turn it back into a desert, they would realise that not demanding a separate state, becoming part of Israel and Israeli citizens, would see more Palestinians in Israel than Israeli's.

Except that will never happen: see below and the Covenant you posted.
Because Israel gives citizenship and full voting rights to all who live there, currently 20% of Israel is Arab Palastinian.

But only to those who accept the State of Israel as the state of the Jewish people, and accept the democratic nature of the State, and renounce racism, and vow not to take up arms in armed struggle against the State of Israel.

Very few of the millions you mention would ever qualify to vote as they are dead set on killing every Jew. Israel would never take the chance.

Nice idea but a non-starter.

Personally I thought it would hamstring the US and leave Israel to face their own claims.

Fortunately for Israel the Arabs are too belligerent to actually do it.

How, if Israel is never going to be daft enough to let it happen?
You said it yourself:

You got it right.
