They had one electoral asset - Boris johnson. But they allowed him to be brought down, with petty jealousies and backstabbing well to the fore.
Then Liz Truss won the vote, but that didn't suit Tory mp's, so the rules were fiddled to exclude the Tory membership and "The most intelligent MP", Rishi Sunak, was duly eased into place. "The adults are in charge", crowed Rishi's fan club.
Well, how are the adults doing at the moment?
Sunak had five pledges he said we should judge him on; he's failing on every one. He's a dud. A nerdy low powered PM, as one commentator has it.
There's no enthusiasm for Starmer that i can see, but the Tories have been in power now for thirteen years and they have completely run out of steam. General Custer had a better result against Sitting Bull than Sunak is going to get at the next GE.
