I've been testing my new boiler and Mrs S was telling me she was cold and asked me to put it on a few times.
The boiler was incorrectly assembled in the factory and also has a really crappy setting for the overpressure and it has taken me a few iterations to get it working correctly. Especially the vent pipe which now has a very different if novel installation.
Last night I set the weekly program cycle up; as it finally ran and shut down with no error messages. Today it went 7-9. I was asked to turn it on at 4pm as Mrs S returned from the restaurant and she'd been sitting outside till she froze. So it is running right now. I will be checking to see if the program shuts it of at 21:30 when manually overridden.
Personally I want it to run as I need to see how many bags of pellets it will consume in a week before I head out on Friday the 3rd Nov. Pellets have just come in at Castorama at €1.5 per bag less than my local store. I'll need to get a pallet.
It may or may not go off again over the next few weeks. We're due a week of rain and it's been miserable so it may not. Either way I'm happy to pay the cost. The boiler is incredibly good for heating the house quickly and I'm happy to pay the price to keep the whole place warm. Although I need a few more radiators around the house before it is fully warm. Including my office which I use a fan driven paraffin heater in.
