Morning all, it’s an ok morning out there, just a bit dull. We are up and at it, Edward has mince pies in the oven already. I have to clean the house, then wrap all the presents - actually I don’t wrap many, mostly put them in gift bags which I recycle every year. Got my nails done yesterday, really like them, and Kellie really enjoyed her manicure too - there were a few other little girls getting their nails done, so cute. Right, better get going >>>>>>

Morning all :)

Bright sunshine :D

Many years ago when the children were young I'd be busy making mince pies, sausage rolls and icing the Christmas cake, these days I buy ready made. Sooo all the shopping's done, the pressies are wrapped, there's absolutely nothing left to do. We're planning a very lazy day, well I am, poor Ed still has to run round after me bless him. He's doing egg and chips for dinner this evening, easy peasy.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon all.
We have been out shopping and it's not been too bad. To the butcher's, then to Sainsbury's. We have been buying odds and sods in the last few days so we don't have to have a ginormous shop today and it has worked well.
Now off to Pontefract for a few bits that we can only get from there, for MrsC's uncle.
After that a couple of beers tonight I think.
Enjoy the day everyone.

Afternoon everyone :)

Busy, busy day here! Down to Corretto's for breakfast. It's quite mild here, so we sat outside, watching the skaters and enjoying the ambience, and the lovely decorations down there. B wanted to go into Trespass so she and I nipped in while Mick had a second coffee. Then round to D's who does seem slightly better today - fingers firmly crossed XX

Got home and pinged Em to see if she and Dave wanted to come round for a cuppa and a mince pie, but she was in town dropping the family off at Kingsholm for the rugby - did I want to meet her for a cuppa? So I did, and have just got back. An easy dinner tonight, quiche, chips and salad :)

Love to all xxx

Afternoon all, it’s been dry and breezy all day.

The Tesco delivery came first thing. Potatoes were out of stock and not substituted and the 18 plain soft rolls were subbed with ginormous sesame seeded burger buns so they were returned. The lack of spuds means I’ll have to go out anyway so I’ll do that this evening.

John went to Parkrun. We walked Bill after that, me, John and Joe, then Joe had a quick change and John dropped him at the station to meet friends in Birmingham (they go to the OC!). Two loads of washing have been done since we got back from the walk and most of it has dried on the line and been ironed (yay for the spin dryer).
I’ve cleaned the windows inside and dusted the shutters too, hoovered and mopped as well.
Oh, and Ruth came around with some presents so had a catch up with her.

Amanda’s due here around 6 and we’re dropping her at the station so she can meet up with Joe and their friends. She’s staying tonight.

Early start in the morning for our day trip to Norwich, I think mostly everything is done that can be done though. - just have to remember to get the turkey crown out of the freezer and into the fridge tonight!

Jen, egg and chips sounds perfect! Wish I was doing that rather than chicken and chorizo pasta now
