Good morning Monday

Good morning.

 We're not long home from celebrating New Year.

We're off to bed now for a couple of hours.

Forecast sunny and 19° so sitting outside at Gambrinus for a lazy lunch has been mooted and agreed.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Happy New Year :Hi: Bom Ano Novo todas :Hi:

Foggy :o Hopefully the sun will come out soon, not cold though.

Washing is being done and I'll do some prep for the bbq later. Mitchell might come up for a beer or two this afternoon.

I'm also going to do an e-mail to the government bods about these trees that next door wants us to cut, see if we can get some-one from there to tell us yes or no. And in writing too. To cut oak trees, you need a special licence, otherwise it's a rather large fine

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

It was lashing down when I went for the paper at 8.00 a.m. But now there is clear blue sky and the sun is out. But still only 14C

Kaz, We used to go to Barry Island when I was in thwe RAF at St Athan. Will youget your passport stamped?

Ally, I watched the fireworks which were set offlocally. There are pubs on both sides which seemed to have displays.

Just pootling again.

Have a good day everybody.

Happy New Year to you all.

It was lovely when I got up at 7:30 so I went for an amble round Golden Acre park but it is now clouding over and getting cold. A day for staying in from now on methinks. :D

Morning all, it’s mostly dull and dry but the air is cold and damp. I gave Edward a lift to the golf club, then went for a walk when I got back, everywhere is nice and quiet. I’ll tidy around now, then do my mobility exercises. After that, I’ll see where the day takes me, we had thought about going to the cinema but decided to leave it until tomorrow as the forecast is not great then so probably no golf and we can go an early showing. We managed to stay up past midnight last night - the London fireworks were incredible! Happy New Year everyone.

Good afternoon.
We had a quiet night in last night. Eliza spent the night here and we are taking her back shortly.
It is cold here but we have had a lovely double rainbow - but strangely, no rain.
A quiet day awaits.
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.

Dry and overcast.

We were up till about 1am, the London fireworks were absolutely fantastic. I've often thought I'd love to be there to watch, but in reality I couldn't stand that long and even when I could I'd hate being out in the cold, a total wuss  Afterwards we watched the fireworks around the world, have to say ours were by far the best this year. After all that excitement and a glass or two of bubbly we were out like logs.

No surprise we've had a very long lie in this morning, didn't get breakfast till 12noon  Nothing happening today, we'll crack open another botlle of bubbly to go with dinner this evening.

Wishing you all a good 2024 xx

Hello all and happy new year!

A lazy start to the day for my niece and I - got to bed at 2am so weren't rushing to get up  Leonie (my niece) leaves tomorrow early morning; life will then slowly return to normal - it's been huge fun having her here and whilst nice to have my space back to myself, I will miss having her company.

Hope everyone has a lovely day
