Good morning Ally and everyone

Enjoy the day reading Ally, esp with 21 degrees!! The wind yesterday was quite something - thankfully no damage here at home, besides two bins that had been blown over; but lots of reports of trees down / fences collapsed etc.
I'll be sorting a few things at home this morning then trusty laptop and I need to head over to Karl and Nadine's and spend who knows how long at theirs.... I was there yesterday evening and my car was making decidedly strange noises when I wanted to leave; so left it there; just couldn't risk driving it. I will be calling out the AA once there and will just have to hang around until they arrive.

Hope you all have a good day x

Morning Ally, Ria and everyone

Grey. Mild but very grey and wet stuff is on it's way :Hi:

Oh dear Ria, hope it's nothing too serious or expensive.

Quiet day for us and now the mist is rolling in again, so we'll be staying inside.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

Grey clouds everywhere. There is light rain and it must have rained in the night as there are a lot of puddles. It is 15C.

Just another day pootling.
Ria, I hope it is not a major problem with your car.

Have a good day everybody

Morning all, it’s damp and dreary here. This is my only “free” day for the rest of the week so of course I have a list. It includes ironing (not much thankfully), a trip to the post office to take out money, walk to the hairdresser to make an appointment for Saturday, a visit to the phone shop to see about my broken screen, and this evening I’ll probably paint my toenails. We had a nice time yesterday, went to see the Anthony Hopkins film One Life, absolutely excellent and tears were shed.

I forgot to tell you that I had an email the other day from a relative in the US who had found me through a family tree website - it’s quite exciting as I spent many years fruitlessly trying to track down nine relatives, siblings, who emigrated to the US in the early years of the last century and it turns out he is the grandson of one of them, and is actually my 3rd cousin. I unsubscribed from websites last year as they were getting too expensive and I had hit a stone wall. So today I’ll copy some of my research and send it to him.

Morning all :)

Bright and dry, but the forecast says rain later.

Hope it's nothing too serious or expensive Ria.
How interesting Osc, hope you discover more about your American relatives.

If the rain stays away long enough for Ed to get all the boxes out of the garage we'll make a start at getting the decorations packed up. I always hate doing it, the house seems so bare when it's done.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Well, that was super quick.... I'm back home again. I got to K&N's about 9.30; booked the AA and they were there by 10.15 Lovely guy managed to get the car started which I wasn't able do when I got there, and confirmed it's a faulty temperature sensor causing the issues. I had it booked into the garage for tomorrow anyway because of the issue; so I called them and arranged that I could drop it off today already and it'll be with them overnight. Fingers crossed re costs - the part itself doesn't seem to be expensive so the bulk, I assume, will be labour
