I wondered if it was unusual, a number of roads around here have flooded which never usually do.

Kaz, can I ask - is that the Gloucester City football club ground (Meadow Park) which was substantially flooded out a few years back, or is it Gordon League RFC's ground (back of the A430 / Sandalwood Drive), or somewhere else?

Ossie, it's Alney Island, the rugby pitch for the Gloucester All Blues, viewed from Castlemead Rd as we were driving past.

I know the flood sirens were going off all day then finally they were told to evacuate Sadly a lot of people that live there, do so because they cant afford to live anywhere else. They have to leave for 2 months of the year Jan - March anyway, which comes in to force tomorrow

On the TV news it has not shown hw dep the water is where the reporters are standing.

There are just views of level water but no indication of the depth. You get some idea when it shows water at the front of a house but no mention of the depth.

Reporters have said the levels are going down, but not what the levels were or how much the have gone down.

I agrre aboiut buiding on "flood plains" That's why they were given that name.
