We’re back from the wake. Lots of people there, including Edward’s other siblings, and his older brother’s children who we really like. Very much an old fashioned wake, lots of chat, tea and cake. Edward headed to “see” Michael, took one glance at the coffin and turned away, he just couldn’t do it. I don’t blame him as it wasn’t great, even I only had a short look. But he did have a nice chat with his older brother and talked for quite some time with his nephew who came over from London. Michael’s daughter is two weeks away from having her second child but seems to be coping well, she is a lovely girl and I hadn’t seen her for years. Tomorrow should be fine although we have a very early start to be at the church before 10am.
I’m in my dressing gown and have had some tea and toast. We had our dinner before we went as we didn’t want to have to cook when we got home. Catching up on last night’s Dancing with the Stars Ireland then off to bed.
