Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 26 Jan 2024, 07:07

Good morning.

Never mind having to check the day...it's been so warm the past few days I'm having to check the month!
More of the same gorgeousness today. 8-)

Getting the bus into Malaga to meet the twins for breakfast. :cute:

Friday beers and tapas tonight. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally.

I don't have to worry about the day or month as my watch is solar powered and radio controlled. Mind you I have had to set its alarm to get me to check it. ;) :D :D

5 °C here (18° inside) and it's persisting down, so another indoors day.

Stay warm and dry everyone.

Morning Ally, WM and everyone

Sunny but not that warm yet. But it will be another flip flop day 8-)

I'm going to have to seriously think about getting another laptop, this one chucked me out again last night

Cleaning for me this morning, as well as nurse duties. It's getting better, but very slowly.

Would love to get out on the garden later, will have to see how wet everything still is. Heavy dews at the moment, takes ages to dry.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, nice sunny day here but cooler. Edward has gone to play golf and I will be going to mobility class shortly. Probably going dancing tonight. An engineer is coming to fix our alarm this afternoon, there is a red light on the box, and it says something about a battery. He lives locally so said he would make us his last call of the day on his way home.

Morning all :D

Bright sunshine 8-)

Haven't been at all well, started with a dry throat and developed into a cough, runny nose and awful headache. The latter has been the worst, felt as if it would burst any minute. It's been so horrid, even my eye sockets felt ready to pop and my jaw ached badly. It's still there in the background, but today it feels manageable. Haven't been able to sleep properly for a few days either, Ed propped the mattress up at the top to help, but the last couple of nights I've had to decamp to the lounge. Lying flat just makes me wheeze badly. I haven't tested, but I'm, pretty sure it's flu or covid, I haven't been this poorly for years.

I've been worried sick Ed will get it, but so far so good. I couldn't cope without him and I know that sounds a bit selfish, but the reality is I wouldn't be fit enough to look after him so we'd both be stuffed. Was also worried about our neighbour who took me to/from the hospital last Friday, but Ed saw them this morning and they are both fine. I think I was just unlucky, the physio waiting room is very small and it was full, Ed actually had to stand by the outer door so was getting plenty of fresh air. I had to sit down elbow to elbow with the other patients who that day were mostly elderly. Added to that the ankle op has prevented me getting out properly for months so I'm bound to be extra vulnerable to infection.

Shame, but I will probably have to reschedule my hydro session booked for next Thursday, I don't think my chest will completely clear in time and tbh I want to be completely clear before taking any risks. My ankle has to take a back seat, the swelling isn't quite as bad as it was, but it's still very sore if I stand for too long. I'm managing to shower standing up now, but with the infection by the time I've dried and dressed I'm absolutely exhausted.

Ed's got the washing on the go and we're expecting a Sainsbury's delivery any time. Finally managing to sit at the big computer right now, but will be decamping to the armchair soon.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon.
Cold and a bit blowy here, but no rain.
Crikey Jen, as if you haven't enough on your plate! I hope you get better quickly.
We have been to Sainsbury's to do the shopping.
Last night we had to take Eliza to the doctors; she was full of cold and her earache had returned. So we ended up going to the late night chemist at Asda for her prescription. Hopefully she's better today.
Paid the gas and electric bills yesterday. I'm over it now though. ;)
Have a lovely day all.
