We had a fantastic day out yesterday at a Spanish food fair in Torremollinos.

The result is a quiet day today.

Clouds and sun with some showers for us today. Cool at 16C.

Off down to the Algarve this morning, so Grumpy can have an ecg and eye measure thingy, before his cataract op next month.

Chris and Lucy are very kindly taking us down. The traffic in Faro is a nightmare and they-re used to it, we-re not Will take them out for lunch as a thank you.

Work from home day for me today - just as well given there's a major issues with the trains and it seems that most, if not all, from my station are cancelled. So it's the usual mix of work and pootle with the usual run to Sainsburys' for fresh veg thrown in.

Goodmorning everybody.

It wasonly 13C when I got up and went for the paper. There is a lovely bue sky and no clouds.

Am going to have an eye test. The apointment is at 1.30 p.m.Its the annaul one by the NHS as I am diabetic. I have one with an optician usually in November.
That was OK so I am expecting the same with this.
I have not been to this clinic before. It is in the centre of the town so I can go on the bus. Wont have to worry about parking and driving.

Left over chicken, bubble and squeak and mixed pickles for dinner this evening.

We had a nice lie in this morning, just finished brekkie and Tesco arrived 30mins early. If the nice weather continues we'll get out for a little walk.

Frosty and cold first thing but turning out nice now.

I had to go to the bank to make some payments and what a palaver. I know people get scammed but some of the questions asked are rather intrusive. It's me FCOL and I am there in person making payments to regular payees as I have done for years.

"Has anyone suggested you make this payment?"
"Yes."
"Who?"
"Me."
"Are you under pressure to pay?"
"Yes."
"Why and by who"
"It's 'whom' and none of your business, but it's me."
"What is the payment for?"
"Again, none of your business..."

Honestly! I feel a change of bank coming on.
