So now we know

Postby JanB » 12 May 2024, 20:13

Popped down to see David and Rita this afternoon, as they're back to Canada tomorrow.

As always, the idiot next door as mentioned.

He wanted to make friends with them, a couple of years ago, as "we don't have any friends locally".

He told them last week that he has been trying to make our lives an absolute misery :o :o  And will continue to do so.

Why, they asked.

Because they don't like dogs

We do, actually, just that we don't have one, unlike most people around here.

The only reason they mentioned it now was because we have the court thing next week.

Rita thinks we should move.

David thinks we should tell him to buy us out.

Me? I'm staying here

David said I should go over and make him shake my hand on Tuesday, but we all know he'll just turn his back ad walk away.

I might just do it, for the craic

I'll certainly be polite and say good morning to them both ;)

What an absolute drongo prat your neighbour is Jan! :x

I'd be polite too no matter what an idiot he was. Manners. :)

And anyone walking away from an extended hand is just plain rude!

Why not just blank him, Jan? Forget he exists. Prevent him using your land for access to other places he might have bought and then get on with your strimming and weeding. ;)

He has his own track to the house and his "Maison Portugale" from the 'main' road. Make him use that.

Sod him.

Seriously, all this agro because you allegedly don't like dogs? That man is more deranged than I thought he was

Hope Rita and David took the opportunity to tell him he's being a right royal idiot; and why should you have to move? If anything your delightful neighbour needs to take a long hard look at himself first and the way he shows his love for animals; the way he keeps them is diabolical.

And agree with Ally and Frank x

He has the legal right to use the access, as this was something that the previous owners son and daughter in law set up. Badly, I might add. I've told them that they made a right mess of it, but all they said was that they thought it would be okay.

It was, when they owned the land, but letting Brian buy it has caused problems, not only for us, but for other people living locally.

Ah, OK, so he has a legal right to access, that doesn't mean you have to interact with him / her / them. Just blank, get him out of your mind, try to make it like he does not exist. It will be much better for your mental health.

Yes, I know that it is easy to say, Jan, but you cannot go on letting him impact your every waking, and sleeping, moment. Sorry, but it really is not doing you any good.

God, what an idiot! It’s a shame your friends can’t swear in some legal way to what he told them, as here that would be harassment :? He’s clearly unhinged :?

Don't worry about my mental health or anything else WM, we're both fine with him.

Makes us laugh, some of the idiotic things he does.

He's just a prat and we don't think about him - or her, come to that.
