Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 08 Jun 2024, 04:41

Good morning.

Sunny and hot. 8-)

A swim soon enough. :D

Yesterday's post walk cerveza ended up riotous as we bumped into friends we hadn't seen for four years so today will very happily be a quiet one by the pool.

Chinese takeaway tonight and TV. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cool and cloudy with more rain to come.

So an inside day for us, I'll get the cleaning out of the way and then the ironing.

Leftovers from yesterdays lunch for dinner ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning you two and everyone

I love impromptu evenings like that Ally - they're always just that bit more special. Enjoy your quiet day today
Jan, enjoy the inside day and hope you get to chill and relax a bit as well?

Gardening day for me today. It's not overly warm yet, but once the sun comes out it should be quite pleasant. Going to get myself ready to go out in a bit - want to try avoid the traffic as much as I can. Apparently the road through our village is closed through to Wednesday - just how the kids are meant to get to school next week is beyond me; the suggested diversion route is 19 miles and the busses won't be able to go the back roads (that will be chaos in their own right).

Have a lovely day all

Good morning everybody.

Still only 17C. One half of the sky has grey clouds, the other half has blue sky.
Going to town. Forgot to get potatoes yesterday.

Then just pootling. Too wet to do any gardening.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s dry at the moment after raining earlier but looks like there’s some more grey coming this way. It’s certainly not warm, Bill was sitting out on the lawn and I had to call him in and get the door shut, it was cold in the kitchen.

John’s gone for a 10 mile run with our neighbour Andrew. Joe’s stayed at Amanda’s house. When John gets back we’ll walk Bill if the rain holds off. No other plans apart from steak, mushrooms and Med veg for dinner with honeycomb ice cream for pud. Got a feeling Tom might show up though so I may have to go out and buy another steak

Have a good day all :)

Good morning.
Grey, raining, cold.
This global warming seems to have stalled somewhat.
MrsC does not like this weather as she says it makes her hair go all frizzy.
in a moment we are off to get the papers. Then fill the car up, get some money out and go away to a little cottage for a few days.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all, mostly cloudy here but the sun is supposed to appear at some stage. Today is a day for tidying up our roof terrace, Edward is already there cutting down our potted bay tree which has been very unwell for some time. Clearing it and its pot away will give us a bit more room up there. Mind you, so far this year there has been no need for any extra space as the weather has been so poor. At some stage, I’ll need to start on the pile of ironing awaiting my attention.

I was at the doc yesterday about my knee. Not what I wanted to hear really - she couldn't give me an injection as she didn’t have a clear sight for the needle, says it would need ultrasound guidance. She also feels I would be an excellent candidate for knee replacement although I’d like to avoid surgery - but I suspect I’ll have to have it in the end  I asked if I could try the injection first and see how I go. But in the meantime, she has referred me for the ultrasound injection but also to a surgeon.  She said I could take whichever appointment comes first. Edward and I will talk about it over the weekend. The doc said she would rather I had surgery now at 74 rather than when I am 80.

Morning all :D

Nice and bright.

That's a very good point Osc. All I can say is Ed's very happy he had his done, no more pain is well worth the exercises post op. He's walking really well and says what with new hips and knee he feels back to 'normal', something he hasn't felt for years because he put it off for too long.

Long day at the hospital yesterday, lot's of hanging around as expected. Anyway aspiration was needed eek, but all's well now and fingers crossed I won't need further treatment.

Feeling fine this morning and we've had a nice lie in. Busy day for us, couldn't do the washing etc yesterday so it's all go today. Sainsbury's have just delivered so that's one job down.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

It's been a lovely, bright day here, despite a wet start. We met our friends Em and Dave for brunch at Corretto's, then went to D's to see Phil and Marina, Mick's youngest bro and his wife. Mick has started digging the holes for the conservatory base - he's already moved the security camera and a drain. We had to get permission from Severn Trent, but that's all ok'd.

Exciting news, we've applied to adopt another rescue pup - I will post separately about her on Pets, but she's a three year old Mini Schnauzer, like our dear little Pepper was. Wish us luck? :D

Osc, our friend Dave needs a new knee. His surgeon has a great reputation for robotic surgery, so we've been kidding him on today about being the bionic man when it's done ;) Hopefully, whatever you decide to do will give you some relief (((x)))
