Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 30 Jun 2024, 05:17

Good morning.

Sunny and hot. 8-)
It's been 32 or thereabouts the past week which has been lovely but back up to 38 today.

An early swim. :D

It's David's birthday today so I'll pop over and see him for a couple of hours.
No doubt his goats Tom & Barbara will give me their usual head butt greeting.

Something with salad for dinner.

Have a great day.

Good morning.
It was quite sunny earlier but has now clouded over, as usual.
Not warm either; i think I'd faint from shock if we had 32 c. Watch out for the billy goats Ally!
Beef for Sunday dinner, our son is coming over which will be nice.
A lazy day looms ahead.
Have a good one everybody.

Morning all :D

Overcast and windy

In the end I did do the walk all along the seafront, it was lovely to be down there and perfect weather for it. Bit off more than I could chew though, was very sore by the time we got home. Needed an ice pack and a couple of strong painkillers, but that seems to have done the trick, my ankle is feeling a lot better this morning.

Our current home insurance policy is due for renewal on 27th July, had an e-mail to advise it was going up by half as much again :o It's hardly changed over the last few years so the big increase came as a shock, especially as we haven't claimed for well over 10yrs. Anyway I did a good online search and found Direct Line's plus policy (offering even more than our current one) is a whopping £114 cheaper than the increase and to top it off is a Which Best Buy. Needless to say I rang to cancel the renewal and interestingly they didn't even try to negotiate.

Not doing too much today, we'll be having roast chicken with salad followed by ice cream sometime around 6.30 this evening.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

32 is much more bearable Al, so take care today xx

Jan, hope you enjoying whatever you decided to do :) xx

You too Cruiser xx

Crommers we had 30 here earlier in the week  xx

Jen, that’s a huge hike! xx

Just making some food now, as I’ve not long got back from Cheltenham, after a lovely morning :) I’m doing chicken, potato wedges, baked tomatoes and mushrooms, with rosemary. Mick’s been busy getting the base down for the cons while I was out.

We’ll nip round to D’s after we’ve eaten, to put her bins out and have a cuppa :)

Love to all xxx
