Olympics opening ceremony.

Postby Suff » 27 Jul 2024, 09:20

Well it would seem the skies were crying tears of dismay as they set out to insult 2.1bn Christians.

Mrs S was calling BOOOOOOORING long before it ended.

I dipped in and out and wondered if I was looking at a pride parade.

I guess they gave just a hell of a lot too much sway to artistic license.

I can't do with the Olympics, Commonwealths, Invictus, Paras, Wimbledon etc. I just switch off. No interest.

Even with sports I do like - football, rugby and F1 - I only switch on at kick-off or for the start and race. The punditry and all that palaver before and after the event(s) leaves me cold.

Didn't bother watching it, and I won't be watching any of the events, either.

Anyway, nothing can beat Mr Bean at the London 2012 Olympics IMHO

I'm working mostly so I can ignore it. Also Mrs S had me take down the Satellite dish and it's still down so she has to rely on digital services. Which annoy her.

It's 40C here today. The TV is in the media room in the attic and Mrs S refused aircon. No TV watching till the weekend when it's cooled a bit.
