Good Morning Saturday

Postby JanB » 10 Aug 2024, 06:52

Morning everyone

Rather warm and very still this morning. Warming up later.

Done all the outside stuff.

Met Steve and Jacquie at the bar yesterday and we got to talking about food, as you do ;) Salads, different salads and curry  So muggins is making a chicken curry and samosas, they're doing the other bits and bobs and we're taking the curry down tonight

So I'd better get going, before the pastry curls up in the heat

Mitch had an op on his shoulder on Wednesday, as the docs weren't happy with how it was healing. I'll ring him tomorrow. A friend is going up to visit today. He tells me he gets no visitors, but I know of at least five people who have been to see him, on a regular basis. Not sure if he's forgetting or just wants me to go.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s cloudy at the moment.

John should be awake soon to we’ll walk Bill then before it gets too warm for him.

Tom’s on his way to Cornwall for a few days camping. He left around 4.30 to miss the worst of the traffic. We felt a bit sorry for him as he does love to travel but with buying his house funds are too tight this Summer so we gave him some money to get away over. This is part one, I think he’s spending some on days out in various places.

Probably watch the charity shield with Joe this afternoon. We didn’t bother getting tickets when they went on sale as he was supposed to be on holiday in Italy today but that was cancelled and by then tickets were sold out.

Jan, my Dad always says he’s seen no one when we know full well that he’s had visitors. Pretty sure it’s a way to get more visitors, at least with my Dad anyway.

Have a good day all :)

Good morning all.
Sunny and bright here but not over warm.
Nothing on at all, a lazy day ahead. Must see what's on in the Olympics. Hopefully athletics.
I like samosas Jan. It is weedy weather Cruiser. Jo, Leeds play today but I'm not sure if they are on TV though. The Chairty Shield will be though (or whatever it is these days).
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Another hot sunny day 8-)

We had a lovely lunch with Michelle and co yesterday. They packed a lot into their visit, by the time we got to San Clu at 12.30 the two little ones had already been for a swim in the pool, used the trampoline and played on the beach. Wouldn't be at all surprised if they both fell asleep in the car on the journey home lol We weren't much better, got back here and turned on the box to catch up with the Olympics and both zonked out for the rest of the afternoon   It has been so lovely to see them all this week, but oh boy we're totally cream crackered!!

Got up around 8.15 this morning, early for us, but wanted to pop over to Westwood Cross and M&S for a quick trolley dash before the hoards descended. Worked a treat we were in/out just as the car park was filling up. Planning a quietish day today, still got a couple of washing loads to do, but that's absolutely it. We did manage to catch up with the Olympics most evenings, but will be doing more of that today, if we don't snooze that is

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, I’m late on parade - wasn’t feeling great when I got up so went back to bed for a while after breakfast. It’s mostly sunny here and nice and warm, I’ll get out for a walk. Otherwise no plan for the day, he’ll watch the Charity Shield then we’ll watch Olympic stuff later - the Irish women’s 4x400 team is in the final so fingers crossed for them.

Afternoon all :)

It's turned into a beautiful day again here, after a chilly start. We had breakfast at Dobbies garden centre at Tewksbury, then round to see D.

Love to all :) xx
