Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 20 Aug 2024, 06:02

Good morning.

Last day of 40° then a slow decline down the 30s. :cute:

A swim shortly then off to get my haircut at 11.
Normally I'd tag this on after a walk but it's just too hot so I'll take the car.
Not had it cut since July 4 so it's more than ready for the scissors.

Masterchef tonight whilst eating salad.

Have a great day.

Briony has her C section this morning so we're waiting on a call from Ed. :cute:

Good morning you two and everyone

Ooh Ally, exciting news re Briony; good luck and hope all goes well! Enjoy the hairdresser and the rest of your day
Cruiser, as always have fun in Chorley

Another wfh day for me, really not much going on. I had planned to meet up with friends in London yesterday evening (they're over from Australia and a group of us were getting together); unfortunately train issues meant I couldn't get there so need to process the refund requests for the train ticket and the car parking.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning everyone

Warm, but cool in the breeze. Another 37C and we're also cooling down from today. Blowy though

Ironing for me this morning and this afternoon, I'm off to Jan's and we're visiting Mitchell :D

Will meet Grumpy at the bar and we'll have a couple of beers before dinner.

And it won't be salad   I'm bored with it all, having eaten it for the last five nights, so I'll be braving the hob and although I've only got four eggs left, I'll make an omelette and we'll share that, with proper chips and peas. Think I'll have to have lessons on how to use my oven, when I eventually use it

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all :)

All the very best to Briony, Al - exciting :D xx

Hope the trip to Chorley goes well Cruiser xx

Ria, that’s a shame :( xx

Sick of salads here too, Jan, but I shouldn’t complain as it will be casserole weather here soon enough :cute:  xx

Tuesday stuff here - out for breakfast shortly, then round to see D. I have a podiatrist appointment at 3.15, might put my poorly toe saga on the Health board later, don’t want to put anyone off their cornflakes :P :cute:

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning all, it’s a rainy one.

I was planning on a walk but I’ll wait until it hopefully dries up a bit.

We drove up to Stone yesterday after tea for a walk around the town, not somewhere we’ve ever visited before and it’s not far past Stafford but it always looks like a nice place when we’ve driven through. It’s a lovely town centre, and quite unspoilt by developers. Not much was open so we went into Wetherspoons for coffee and when we came out it felt like we’d skipped through to Autumn. It was only 8.45 but it was dark and rainy with a cold strong breeze. We had to put the heated seats on when we got in the car

An exciting day for you Al!

Ria, that’s a shame. I was thinking of planning a day in Manchester by train next week but then heard travel news this morning about train disruption due to staff shortages by the company I’d use, I’d forgotten just how unreliable they are so don’t think I’ll bother.

Hope your appointment goes well Kaz x

Morning all, sun and cloud here, it’s a bit breezy and noticeably cooler. I got up at 4.45am to put bedding in the wash (domestic goddess me!) and they are now being blown around on the line. Lots to do today so I’d better get on with it. Edward has gone to play golf, I’ll get him to take our suitcase down from the attic later. My sister is going to call in this morning - our house phone seems to have died and she has one she bought, never used, and left it too late to bring it back for a refund, so hopefully it will work for us. I have a bag of books for her, some are hers being returned and some are mine being passed on. Right, the shower is beckoning >>>>>>

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny, but there are more clouds so we'll see...........

We spent a lot longer in the garden than intended yesterday, the bin was full to the brim by the time we finished. Ed had to press it down quite hard to shut the lid. We were both soaking wet with sweat by the time we came in, a very soggy couple

Woke up with sore hips after all the bending so won't be doing anything too energetic today. Plan to pop over to the small Tesco before lunch. Don't need a lot, just more bananas and salad stuff.

Hope you all have a good day xx
