Damn, blast and buckets of blood

Postby JanB » 20 Sep 2024, 19:36

I-ve had the final voucher for my hernia op

I either go up north somewhere, sorting out transport and stuff or I wait for another 16 months.

Or go private

I-m going to speak to a lovely friend of mine next week, and see what she say. If she can sort it out, then okay, I-ll go the sns route. If not, I-m going to splash out and go private.

And all before December :Hi:

Best to get it done asap, in my opinion Jan! There's no better investment than your health ((x))

You've waited such a long time for this op Jan, I'm inclined to say it's time to get it done. Another 16 months sounds far too long.

JanB,

Have it done as son as possible. Never mind the cost. Enjoy life while you can.

My wife fell and broke her hip. So had a new hip and never had any problems. And she was 80 when that happened.

I've been investigating the options.

I have a choice of then hospitals, all quite a way up north. And have chosen one, near Coimbra, which seems to be the best of the bunch. Steve has printed off all the gumph, so I'll collect it tomorrow and try and make sense of it.

Ouch, Jan! That's about 200 miles / 350k, so I take that it will be by train via Lisbon. At least you'll be up and dancing by Christmas. :Hi: :Hi:
