Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 29 Sep 2024, 04:08

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 31° so after my swim I'll have a couple of hours reading by the pool. 8-)

We're meeting friends at Gambrinus for a birthday lunch. :cute:

TV tonight including the excellent Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone fishing. It's an absolute delight. :P

Have a great day.

Good morning Aly, JanB and anybody else who is up.

Lots of grey clouds but the sun is trying to come out. It is only 14C. Will just be pootling again. Too cold to go outside.

THe nights are rawing in. Am closing the curtains soon after 7.00 p.m.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :)

Enjoy, Al! I heard someone on the radio say that Bob Mortimer was recovering from a nasty bout of shingles when they filmed the most recent series, so was sometimes using a wheelchair  xx

Morning Jan, and Cruiser :) xx

It looks grey out there today. Out with M and B in a bit, for some breakfast. B has been lucky, no sign of jetlag at all, although she has been going to bed and getting up earlier than usual. We're promised a cottage pie for later, will be nice not to have to cook 8-) ;)

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning all :D

Dull, overcast and windy

Ally enjoy lunch with your friends.
Jan don't overdo the weeding.
Cruiser pootling is always nice.
Kaz cottage pie sounds yummy. Lucky Becky not suffering jetlag. Did she have a good time in Oz and was she ever tempted to stay?

We've had a nice lie in and planning an easy day. Roast chicken and veg for dinner this evening with raspberry jelly and custard for pud.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, the sun keeps trying to break through although rain is forecast for later.

Tom stayed last night, he’s not long left. Me and John are off to the match shortly, he’s using Joe’s ticket. Joe’s back from Prague later tonight, he’s due to land at around 8pm.

Kaz, lovely to have lunch cooked for you! I’ve always been okay flying long haul east to west, it’s going in the other direction that I notice it but try to hold out for normal bedtime and find that helps a lot.

Have a good day all :D

Good afternoon all.

It was 8°C when I got up and it is only 10°C now, the CH is on!

Kaz, B is doing things right... and cottage pie is one of my favourite meals. I might need to defrost some mince.

Afternoon all, we left Carlow early because of various yellow and orange weather warnings and got home at 2.30, having stopped in the supermarket to buy a couple of prepared meals. It was very windy on the motorway but we didn’t get too much rain until we got close to home. Didn’t get to bed until almost 2am, we had a great night with lots of dancing, saw old friends and met some new ones. Catching up on Strictly now although Edward is already dozing off! Early to bed tonight I think ;)

Jen, she loved it there. The tour up The east coast particularly, and a recent trip to Kangaroo Island were highlights :) However, she found the cost of living very high, and says it's too far from all her family and friends.

Jo, it seems to be as you said, as B had bad jetlag going out there. Must be something to do with "losing" hours, rather than gaining extra - maybe?
