Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 03 Nov 2024, 05:11

Good morning.

I'm at the airport waiting for my friend.
She's flown back from Australia via Dubai, Paris and Madrid and messaged she's kn*ckered.

Forecast sunny and 23° so I'll go for my walk once I've dropped Ana off. :D

Some afternoon reading in the garden awaits. :D

Don's cooking a stir fry for dinner and I do enjoy Sunday night TV which tonight includes a new Attenborough series as well as SCD and Gone Fishing.
You'll find me curled up on the sofa with a bag of Haribos.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Just having the most gorgeous sunrise :Hi:

Might have a shower this morning, but warm and 22C for us.

Molly just in and gone to bed, having got me up at 3.00 to go out  And having let a mozzie in, which then proceeded to bombard us, in bed. Sprayed the bedding and us, but the little buzzer still persisted  And then got me on a finger, so I'm up

Weeding for me, if it's not too wet, this morning. My blisters need time to heal, before I do more cutting back. I really can't pull those leaves off, so cutting it is.

Roast pork for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s grey and dreary here. Got a phone call yesterday to say that a phone engineer would be here this morning with a hoist to work on the outside box to see if they can fix the irritating loud hum we have had on the line for a long time. He said he’d be here around 10am but was actually here before 9am - it did not matter as he didn’t need to get in the house although we were up. Still have the hum though!

After being out two nights in a row, we’ll be taking it easy today so I will mainly be reading, knitting or jigsawing. I’ve just ordered a couple of things online for Michael’s birthday, it is very hard to get anything for a 15 year old who isn’t interested in clothes, doesn’t read very much :? but we’ve ordered a personalised darts case, he does love playing darts. We had good fun last night, it was full on learning new dances and dancing ones we already know. My feet (and my knee!) were glad to get home!

Morning all :)

Oh Ally that’s one heck of a journey! No wonder your friend is tired! xx

Oh yikes Jan, yes let those blisters heal xx

That sounds like a suitable gift Osc :) xx

Cruiser, no politics on Cafe please ;) xx

It’s grey but not cold at all here. We’re outside Corretto’s having a cuppa, watching them construct the outdoor ice rink - it really doesn’t feel like a year since the last one :? Popping round to D’s shortly, then this afternoon I’m making a Christmas cake. Mick asked me to make one, so I’m obliging, even though I don’t eat it.

Have a good day everyone xx

Nice and bright.

Any news about your op Jan?

Nothing much happening here, I'll be doing roast chicken with veg for dinner and raspberry blancmange and jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day xx

No Jen, thank you for asking.

I told the hospital that I wanted to get Grumpy's op - on Thursday - out of the way first. I'll contact them on Friday, if I've not heard.

Been a blowy day and we've both got a head cold, so not done a lot, apart from snooze and read
