Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 04 Dec 2024, 06:13

Good morning.

Gorgeous sunshine and forecast 23°. 8-)

My usual walk first. :?

We're going to Conforama to pick up an order for Jacob & Inma and take it over for them. :D
The refurb is totally finished so I'm looking forward to being given a tour. :x :x

We'll nip into Mercadona on the way home for some food shopping.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Not a nice start to the day. Grey, damp and windy.

Off to Ourique this morning, to get my tootsies done, and then all sorts of stuff to do. Supermarkets too.

Back to make a huge pot of favas and a shepherds pie for tonight.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s dull and damp here. It took a while to get to sleep last night but then I did sleep really well with one bathroom visit after which I unusually went straight back to sleep until just after 7am. We got up at 8am as we are expecting (not hopefully) a telephone engineer and someone to fix our alarm. I have a list of stuff to do - buns to make, maybe ironing, take out money, buy cards and stamps and maybe even write some cards. Edward is cranky this morning, so I’m giving him space to get over himself  I also need to write a letter to the company where we have our life insurance - now that we are both over 75, the premium has risen outrageously while the projected benefit has dropped considerably, so having taken advice, we will no longer be paying premiums, the money is more use to us now.

Morning all, it looked quite promising and bright earlier but it’s gone very foggy in the last hour.

The main plan for today is to get the Christmas cards written. There’s some ironing to do too and I’ll make a chicken casserole for tea.
I also want to sort the Christmas presents I bought yesterday and see what else I need.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :)

Bright and sunny :D

Had a nice surprise yesterday evening, a message from Hannah to say she's hoping to visit before Christmas, just waiting to hear when.

Managed to get all my Christmas cards done and posted, have to do the overseas ones early, so made sense to do the others while I was at it. Only the neighbours left to do, but there's no rush, Ed will pop them through the letter boxes in the next week or so.

No plans for today, will probably do a big tidy up round the house.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all :)

Al we saw big roadside ads for Conforama, some sort of furniture store I think? I’m sure J and I’s new pad will look amazing :D xx

Hope the tootsie appointment goes well Jan :) xx

Osc I sometimes do the same   xx

I really need to write out my cards too Jo  xx

That’s a nice surprise Jen :) xx

It’s a bit drizzly here today. Went to M&S to meet J for a cuppa, then the PO to post a parcel and get D some Christmas stamps. Got home about an hour ago. We need to go toB&W for a few bits, Mick stayed in this morning for a delivery, a new telly, but it’s just arrived so we can go out soon :D

B had good news at work this morning, her application for her (currently temp) position to be a full-time one has got her an interview next week. Fingers crossed XX

Love to all xx

Good news for B :Hi: :Hi:

I've just at down  Jiggered now.

Tootsie day is tomorrow, so either Dora got mixed up, or I did

Got everything sorted, walked up to the post office and that's a steep hill 8-) did the supermarkets and chemist and then the Chinese, but forgot the chopping boards I wanted.

Dinner made, favas bubbling away and we're meeting friends down at the bar, as it was Castro market this morning and Tina has got us some onions. That will keep Grumpy occupied tomorrow
