Just spoken to my friends wife, another very good friend.

He is virtually completely paralyzed. Hardly any movement at all, apart from his head. She said his eyes say it all.

We-ve had the sound of chain saws for the last couple of days.

The eucy forest very lose to us is being chopped down. Will take a long time, but things are moving

It is fascinating watching the forest being cut down and amazing views we almost now have

There are three men with chainsaws and a huge machine, stripping the branches off the logs when cut and then clearing the undergrowth.

Be interesting to see it when it-s all finished and what they will put in it-s place.

The government, because of all the massive fires there have been, mostly up north, have decided that the forests should be removed and native trees should be planted
