Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 01 Jul 2025, 05:29

Good morning.

Another 46° today but looks a bit cooler from tomorrow. Down to 40.

We're staying over here until early evening then heading home. These beach days are bliss. 8-)

I would think a night time visit to the pool will happen.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

28C at the moment and another 40 something day

Had a bit of a lie-in, so the watering has only just been done. I don't normally water quite so much, as most of our plants are drought tolerant, but in this heat, thought it best to give some of them at least a sprinkle.

We've been having big problems with the pool this year, mostly because Grumpy just hasn't been well enough to do what is needed - I haven't a clue   - but I persuaded him to let me chuck some stuff in yesterday, put a couple of things in the skimmers and leave the the pump on over night.

Voila :Hi: :Hi:

A clear pool :Hi: :Hi:

So I'll be heading in soon

I have decided that I'm just not cooking, not even slightly, in this weather. We'll have salad tonight and I'll buy a cooked chicken tomorrow. That will do us for a couple of nights and then we're cooling down - slightly  He didn't even eat last night, the heat is really affecting him.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally, JanB and anybody else whois up.

It is 21c again with clouds and muggy.

Did not have a good night. Seemed to be awake most of the time, just lying there. Going to Lidl this morning. Then to the chemist to pick up my
repeat prescription.

Then justpootling. May cut some small branches off a tree which are now overhanging my shed.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, when I got up at 7.30, it was raining although it did stop. Now it is rather damp and dreary and when I brought Kellie to soccer camp it was only 13 degrees :( Since coming back, I’ve changed the bed, put our bedding in the washing machine, put on the dishwasher and packed up our stuff. Edward and Michael have gone to play golf, they were able to walk to the golf club. My sister will be here this afternoon, will cook dinner for Michael and Kellie and wait until Miss Osc and SIL get back from London. They seem to have had a great time at Wimbledon, were eating strawberries and cream at 10.30pm!

Yesterday we booked a cruise for November……. it was such an amazing price, it would have been rude not to!!

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

We'll be sitting in the garden under the two big umbrellas again today, much too hot to go anywhere. Luckily there was a very gentle breeze yesterday so that and the shade made this hot weather much more bearable. We'll have to move the door bell though as Sainsbury's are delivering later this afternoon. Cheese omelette with salad for dinner, might even treat ourselves to some ice cream.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning.
Overcast here. Warm but not stifling, like it was yeterday.
Cruiser, I didn't sleep well either.
MrsC is off baby wrangling with her sister, I'm going to B&M to try and get some Lavazza Prontissimo coffee. I've looked everywhere for it after WM's recomendation but no luck so far.
My right hip is giving me severe gyp now, which I could do without.
Just ordered some wine and I have another call to make to buy something.
Onwards and upwards.
Have a good day everyone.

Hello all. I was going to say good morning but just realised it's gone past midday - just how?????

Ally and Jan - those temps are horrid. We had 33 here yesterday and it was sweltering, today it's meant to get to 32 but the day so far has been a lot cooler and really nice.
Crommers - ouch re the hip; are you on a waiting list to get it sorted?
Cruiser, please be careful if cutting back branches involves ladders!
Osc, another FB friend was complaining about the weather in Ireland where she is - it does sound rather damp and cool :-(
Jen, agree re the shade being perfect when there's a slight breeze.

Another WFH day for me; the house is a perfect temperature at the moment - it'll be nice if it stays like this. Nothing exciting to report my end.

Have a lovely day all
xx

Crommers, I’ve been on the lookout for that coffee too with no luck. Does that mean that Frank’s an Influencer?

Jo, I reckon he's bought all the stocks as an investment!

Ria, yes I'm on a waiting list but I have no idea how long the list is. I don't have much faith in our local orthopedics. My brother who lives in Selby was all done and dusted in four months. It took one of our neighbours more than a year to get the op.
