Malwarebytes free trial finished

Postby Diflower » 03 Jun 2013, 14:03

I'd forgotten it was a free trial, and it's finishing today.
Is there still something decent I can replace it with that's free?

Di, it still works, what you have lost is real-time protection, heurisics and auto-updates in the free version. You can still update and scan manually.

TBH all the quality free ones do this, even Spybot S&D.

A reasonable real-time monitor for part of what you lost is WinPatrol. It will give you the warning, then you can scan with whatever malware remover you have.

Not according to Apple. But then they had to be forced, almost at gunpoint, to admit that there were 600,000 Macs which had been taken over and were zombies in a botnet and were used to attack sites and spam users. The largest % of deployed systems infected, ever.

Not sure you even get protective suites for iPads but I'd say it was a hug opportunity lost if they do not...
