What a fantastic cake! You must (have) be very proud of yourself. I bet it tasted as good as it looked too.

Yes I was Weka, very chuffed with myself :)
It did taste nice. I have a piece of the plain cake left and some of the lemon curd buttercream so I shall put those together for this afternoon :)

I wouldn't do one so complicated if anyone asked me to do one, but it has given me the confidence to know I could do something very nice all the same.
This one was for love, not money, it didn't have to be perfect :)

When I looked online Jo it's about £120 for a decent guitar cake, which is actually pretty reasonable since it took me about 12 hours altogether.

But I did find it pretty galling that M&S charge £25 for a single digit cake, just covered in fondant and decorated with cut-out stars, or spots and stripes :?
