What Are We Reading In August?

Postby JoM » 01 Aug 2013, 00:40

Blimey this has come around quickly!

I'm reading May We Be Forgiven by A M Homes. I've only just started it as I've not had much time to read this last week but it's already drawing me in.

I loved May we be Forgiven.

I am reading Island Wife by Judy Fairbairns - a true story about a woman who went to live on the Outer Hebrides. I'm only a couple of chapters in but it seems good so far.

Today or tomorrow I will be downloading the new Philippa Gregory - The White Princess.

And I am about to start listening to that one by J K Rowling that she wrote under a different name - I got it as a freebie from Audible.

I am taking my Kindle on holiday as I am hopeful that the weather will be good and lots of reading will be done.

I had The Secret Keeper in book form from the library but didn't actually start it for ages. Then when I did start it I realised that it needed renewing 2 days later so called in at the library only to be told that they needed it back as it was ordered for someone else but they could give me an extra week with it (I am such a regular in there now I get preferential treatment). But I knew it was going to be a busy old week so got no further with it and had to take it back and was only about 5 chapters in.

But then someone pointed out it was only 99p as a kindle download so it is now on my kindle waiting to be finished whilst on holiday.

:D
