I realised I needed glasses when I read this paragraph in a book

'he remembered the smell of burnt toast as it reminded him of his mother, when she would be standing in the kitchen in her quilted housecoat and with that horney image.......

At which point I thought WHAT????? that's his mother. As I peered closer I realised it said homely not horney. So for the sake of reading a book so that it makes sense I thought maybe it was time for glasses
