Cherry, coconut & chocolate traybake

Postby Diflower » 31 Aug 2013, 22:09

This was it - so easy, 5 ingredients, and took about 10 minutes including chopping the chocolate :) They look and smell lovely...
The posters advised less sugar, so I only used 65g, and any chocolate or choc chips apparently work fine. Desiccated coconut is quite cheap in Lidl so I'd bought a bag, which is 200g. Remember you need 200g for this recipe, it's quite a lot ;)
I know it's no help for Ally, but Lidl have their chocolate bars half price quite often, and they're cheap anyway - and not bad - so I usually pick up a couple when they're on offer.

Oh I've just remembered..there is a Lidl in the town next to us so I must go in. I don't mind food shopping if it's for goodies for cake making.

I might be able to give you a verdict tomorrow ;)
Bb says he's definitely happy to pay for the coffee & walnut but quite fancies this one too - have to say, coffee and walnut would win for me very time :)

We didn't get a taste of anything :(
We left before it started, and none of us wanted the cakes out in the open any earlier than necessary. I'd even have made some more today but now have no walnuts, and tomorrow's a fast day, so probably best not ;)
