I think the main thing is being happy with how you are, and then your confidence carries off whatever you wear
"Bien dans sa peau" I think the French call it, being happy in one's own skin
I like that saying
Di you always look happy and confident to me, and therefore lovely
When I was a young mum, in fact until I hit 40, I was not at all into how I looked or dressed......I dressed really frumpily for a young woman, never wore jeans or fashionable stuff, lived in shapeless skirts and baggy jumpers, little makeup, cut my own hair - I think my first marriage had knocked all the confidence out of me as I was a trendy teenager
Then when I turned 40 I lost a huge amount of weight (about 3 or 4 stone) and bought a couple of fashionable items of clothes, started bothering with my hair and makeup again, and suddenly found my confidence rocketing! Now even though I have regained a fair bit of weight from then, and yo yo rather, I have still kept the confidence going...............
