Phew - Strictly

Postby Osc » 16 Dec 2012, 19:30

Thank goodness Lisa has finally gone!! Consistently overmarked by the judges so that she would never make it to the dance off, she never improved from day 1 and relied on being big and jolly to get through each week. We had actually decided that if she got through to the final we were not going to watch it, we felt that strongly about it.

Kimberley to win!!

I must admit that I was sorry to see Lisa go, I thought she was great and Robin is rather nice  They seemed to have a lovely friendship. Then again, I know nothing about dancing although I could see that the others were better! I'm afraid I can't warm to Denise. I'd like to see Dani win :D

Yes I agree osc, definitely time for Lisa to go. She was entertaining in the first few weeks, but for me she'd become very irritating and overstayed her welcome.

Kimberley or Dani to win............

Lisa was the least talented dancer, but I had a huge lump in my throat when she gave such a lovely speech about her partner, saying how much he'd encouraged and supported her, her tears at leaving were genuine and I felt her sadness.

How sweet of Denise to hug her before she went off to do the dance off too :)

Poor Lisa, she did her best always. I wanted her to go because it was time, but I still shed a tear for her when it happened.

Denise - well she knows now that she won't win because she won't get the viewers' votes. If they do the same format as usual, then one is voted off without getting the chance to do their show dance and the odds are that that person will be Denise. I'm afraid her outbursts in the newspapers did her no good at all. She was very ill advised to speak out in the papers the way she did.

It is going to be one hell of a final and no mistake. The problem is I shall be out and will have to view when I come home.

I haven't seen any papers Rodo so have no idea what she's said, but it's been obvious she just doesn't have the fanbase.

I think they said first, judges' pick of their dances. Then the showdance, and down to three couples, then their own favourite dance to decide it. Which sounds good :D

I liked Lisa and thought she tried really hard. It was her time to go though.
I think Nimble Kimble will win it, but would be happy for her or Dani to get the glitter ball :D

She had me in tears with her speech too, really heartfelt. It was her time to go though although if they weren't doing the dance off I think she would still be there.

Yes completely agree, and they know it too, Denise will be out first next week and she will not like that and neither will James. What was she saying in the papers please?

I would love either Kimberly (who I think really deserves it) or Dani to win, but the winner is down the public and therefore I think it could well be Louis

This is what Denise was saying in this DM article and it hasn't done her any favours at all:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/ar ... g-fix.html

Denise is a beautiful dancer but there's something very cold about her performances whereas darling Kimberly gives out loads of joy. I am happy to see Lisa go as her dancing skills were very questionable and although Dani's Tango was glorious I'd expect that with The Master of Tango, Vincent, as her partner especially as he chose proper tango music but Dani doesn't fire my emotions at all. When Louis dances I find myself watching Flavia and not him!
