It's good that we all have different tastes. 8-)

I had the pie with mash and mixed (frozen) veg, cooked of course. :D

It was pretty good. ;) :)

It looked lovely, I love the little fishy too.

My dad used to make a fantastic fish pie, it had hard boiled eggs in it

Favourite is a smoked haddock fillet, on a bed of spinach, with a mix of creme fraiche and grated cheddar on top - gorgeous :D

That sounds lovely Di. :D :D

I can't imagine fish pie with pastry..sorry WM..it would always have to be mashed potato for me. :D

I love fish but rarely cook it. I don't know why.

I love fish pie but have never thought to make it with a pastry top. It just doesn't seem right!!!! Always with bechemel sauce, white fish, nice big prawns (and occasionally some mussels although it pains me to watch the girls pick them out), hard boiled eggs, peas and a mashed potato top.

In fact, I'm sure I have some white fish in the freezer. Looks like it might be fish pie one night this week.

I love smoked haddock (we call it Finney Haddock round here - no idea why) and haven't had any for ages. I like the should of that Di.
