Those roasting and casserole bags

with the spices or flavourings already in, and you just add the meat and veggies. Has anyone tried them? My MIL has just started using them, and swears by them, so I'm considering giving them a go

we often use them and they are ok I am not a lover of spicy foods either, we also use the bags alone to do small roasts sometimes chops etc in to save a messy oven

I have used ones for chicken a couple of times and they were lovely.

I bought one for beef with us - probably giving it a try tomorrow

I have used the roasting bags/pockets and they are great for a clean oven, but I've never tried the spice ones. I have looked at the Maggi selection once or twice, though.

They look a good idea for someone who might want to try a new dish but does not have a big selection of herbs and spices to work with.

It's the chicken ones in articular I'm tempted by, so am glad you've tried those Debih and they were good.

Frank a clean oven is always a bonus! I have a small cupboard shelf full of herbs and spices, but I am minded to give these go

I went into Home Bargains yesterday and got a couple of packs of Baco roasting bags - 79p for 10 - bargain.

They were also selling Maggi "Oh so juicy" but only the basic flavours, so I didn't bother.

Excellent! Still not tried them yet, as with it only being M and I here most of the time lately I've been doing most of my food shopping in the much smaller Sainsburys in town whilst out and about rather than the big one - but next time I'm there I certainly will get some to try

I did a beef one the other day.

It tasted lovely but was very dry - I won't be trying it again. The chicken ones are supposed to be dry and spicy, rather than a stew type mixture.
