Wise choice Ally! It's the acting, the casting, the storyline, the scenery, the locations and everything about it that makes it so superb.

The writer is Sally Wainwright and she wrote the prize winning 'Unforgiven' with Suranne Jones and 'Scott & Bailey' also with Suranne Jones, as well as lots of scripts for Emmerdale, Corrie, The Archers and comes from Halifax so she must have chosen the locations.

I thought The jiving was brilliant in last night's - Derek and Ann pulled some shapes :P

Even the theme music thrills me. :D :D

I laughed out last night..lots of times..at Caroline who was walking around like the cat that got the cream.

At John's gobsmacked face.

And Gillian aka as sex mad sally.

It's been fab. :P :P

Well..that was one of the best things I have watched for a long time.

Absolutely stellar cast and performances.

Script, timing, scenery..it had the lot.

I am so going to miss it.

I was on the edge of my seat. So glad it's coming back. I want to know more about Caroline's older son. He seems troubled and I wonder if he is gay and that is why he is so supportive of his mum.
Great series :D

Wasn't it fabulous??? Great show, great cast (LOVE Alan!) and great writing, as usual from Sally Wainwright.

Can't wait for the next one :D

Ally, sobbing here too....

Don came home from meeting a friend in Malaga last night just in time to catch the last 30 minutes of this.

When it was finished he said he wished he'd watched them all.

Well says I..you have insisted on watching football for the past 5 Tuesday's.

Just watched the final part. Award winning? Have I missed something then? Is it coming back?
