Mrs Brown and the Christmas tree, I nearly wet myself

I was absolutely howling with laughter all the way through this episode.

We love Not Going Out too, but oddly enough found Mrs. Brown's Boys to be a bit flat Always thought Morcambe and Wise were fantastic, and as the years go by and you see various documentaries and clips, you can see that they were absolute genuises. The Two Ronnies were pretty good too, last night we saw their "ballroom dancing" sketch which was amazing - Ronnie Corbett was able to dance properly, sing, look completely comfortable in a ballroom dress, full makeup and shoes with heels - AND - it was proper dancing. I can't think of any of today's comedians with that sort of versatility.

Sorry I can't stand Mrs Browns Boys. I read somewhere that it had the highest ratings over Christmas so I'm clearly in a minority, but my thoughts were just ....why???

We like what I think might be classed as 'alternative comedy' - Peep Show, Hebburn, that sort of thing. I do like many of the new standups, John Bishop, Jon Richardson, Michael McIntyre, but am not too keen on sitcoms any more.

And tbh, although I LOVED Morecambe and Wise/The Two Ronnies etc in their day, I find the reruns very average. I think my SOH has changed over the years

The one series I hated with a vengeanance was Little Britain. What did you all think to that?

Can't stand Mrs Brown's Boys, hated Little Britain, don't laugh at the odd bits I've seen of Morecambe & Wise or the Two Ronnies any more...
Yes the four candles sketch and many others are genius, but I've seen them umpteen times now...

Some newer comedians like John Bishop yes, Lee Nelson the other night had us really laughing. More often it's shows like Would I Lie to You that turn out to be the funniest

Miranda reminds me of Brian Rix - the farce type thing, which I never could get one with.
