Those 2 lads yesterday made us laugh out loud, several times. But well done them for using the builder to finish the job off.

Grumpy said we would have bought it, if they hadn't, for that price

Oh that does make me cross-

The couple they interviewed, who live on a golf resort said every-one speaks English"

Well, try our village - there are only a handful of English speakers here -mostly the youngsters.

It really doesn't represent how life is here-

And they were only in the far east bits - and apart from Castro Marim, it's mostly toursity areas and therefore expensive ;)

Don't worry Ton - as soon as anyone hears I live in Spain they assume the same.

We live inland, in a Spanish town and mix, live and talk like the locals.

I wouldn't have it any other way. :D

I actually saw most of it today! Normally I wouldn't be watching it, but had my lunch late and was flicking. So that's your area, Ton? Looks gorgeous! I thought the same about the woman who said everyone speaks English  I loved the little traditional cottage ont he street the best. Did they decide to take one of them in the end?

They were further east, towards Spain, whereas we're in between Olhao and Tavira. Our village has lots of little houses like that one they liked.

The lovely beach was in Fabrica, just outside Caselha Velha. If you're ever over her, it's stunning - a must visit.

They were still in discussion about the house Osc. They wanted the builder to finish it off.

And we were quite pleased to hear that the market has bottomed out - our house was worth 275,00 4 years ago. It's now on for 195,00

And there are a lot of tourists around at the moment, house-hunting. :D Mostly apartments, but if one of them buys the apartment of the man who wants to buy this, then he will - so keeping everything crossed for a sale this year :D
