Advice required re photo session

Postby Kaz » 03 Feb 2014, 16:33

Now Becky booked a mum and daughter photo session for my Christmas present :) It was very sweet of her, and she was so excited about the idea, but I have to say I'm dreading it a little bt  I don't much like having my photo taken TBH plus I am stressing out about what to wear. This is complicated by it being the two of us, so we need to co-ordinate a bit.......

It will be fun once we get there, I suppose, as they do your hair and your make-up, and I love doing anything with Becks..... :) 8-)

We've been told to take three outfits each!

Has anyone here had this done? I think Osc has, haven't you Osc? What did you wear?

I am thinking maybe a white blouse or shirt and smart jeans for us each for one outfit, as I have seen a few of these portraits over the years and white shirt or tee seems to be a recurring theme.....Maybe same jeans different shirt for me and B? Then a dressy evening type outfit - LBD???? What else though :?

Heck I dunno :?

I like the white shirt/t shirt and jeans idea as I always think it's an outfit that looks fresh.

If it was me I'd take along a couple of dresses with a couple of cardies.

The only advice I can offer is make sure its clothes that you feel really good, confident and happy in as that will come through in your smile.

I'm sure you'll both look fab! :D

Go nude.

That'll save loads of trouble.

Yes I have, but it was a little bit different, as it was a family shoot, no hair or makeup element. I wore one of my most comfortable day dresses with a little cardi and we didn't do any co-ordinating although I suppose me and him look sort of co-ordinated! My FB profile pic is one of them, my dress was black and cream and in the profile pic, I'm not wearing the little black cardi. I posted a few of them on here at the time

I remember that photo Osc and it's just as lovely as ever. :D

Not that I noticed at the time..it's only since we're talking about colour co-ordinating clothes..but looking at that photo of you all...

There's you and Mr Osc in black and white.

Little Michael and his dad in blue.

And your daughter in a different colour altogether..but it all works really well. :D :D

The two of us often look coordinated! I'll decide what I am going to wear and he will decide separately for himself - and we mostly match up! He says it's because I suggest shirts in my favourite colours, I say it's telepathy from so many years together ;)
