Talking of almonds Di, remember me talking about my nut allergy and you saying I should get retested as it might not be all nuts? Well almonds are definitely ok - a month ago I ate a large chunk of a small bar of a new Cadbury choccy thinking it was the one with bits of sweets, in but it turned out to be the almond one - the wrappers are extremely similar   I scared myself silly, and Mick too who was watching me carefully all that afternoon, but I was fine.

So almonds are ok

That's really good news Kaz :D

Saundra their calories were not hiding, they were there for all to see

Yes I'd have expected them to lose more - although not sure how long they were dieting, she said '12 weeks ago we met them', the whole thing must have been 2 weeks I think. A week they kept their own food diary (aka fairy tale), then a week being watched. Even so, 10 weeks and one had lost only 8lbs, it's pretty poor with such a lot to lose isn't it, and a 22-yr-old should have been able to lose a lot more than she did too.

Actually, I wondered about the 22-yr-old. 4 years, so since she was 18 - since she left home and ate what she felt like? She went to her gran's every day for lunch, d'you think that's where she'd lived? I felt there was maybe a bit more to it than greed, which of course this programme doesn't really address.

Oh yes, so many emotional reasons why people overeat, and this programme doesn't address any of them really :? 8lbs loss is nothing really, most people as overweight as that would lose that in the first week or so of a low calorie diet, most of the really big members at WW did in their first week! It did sound as though she lived with gran, gran was slim though wasn't she so must eat reasonably well herself :?

It is entertaining but a bit sad that young girls like that have become so overweight :( Next week's couple looked entertaining 8-)

Saundra  It made me hungry too, especially that jacket swimming in cheese and mushrooms - very unhealthy but totally scrummy

I just love what they say Kaz
Tonight's is being recorded on C4+1 as it's Masterchef at the same time.

At the moment though, Bb is watching the rest of the IPL (cricket) match that he missed by working - a good exciting finish :D
As you may remember, I love cricket so I saw it live ;)
Terrible tragedy, it's the last year it's on ITV4, next year it's Sky :(
