We threw it away

Being a scouse, and a Liverpool fan, I have been quite happy with the way the team have played this year. and quite surprised. Wasn't sure of Mr Rogers, at all. Didn't like Mr Dalgleish as a manager either - saw him play, superb :D

Apart from their defence

And they proved it right again tonight - how on earth can you give away a 4-0 lead in about 15 minutes.

Bring back Jamie

3-0 Ton,if they can't hold that against a team like C.P. how can they handle what awaits them in C.L?

It's all down to "nerves" - even at the elite end of the beautiful game.

If Liverpool don't win the title, they'll join a long list of clubs this season who have spectacularly blown titles / promotions in the closing stages, including Daventry Town in the Southern League 1 Central, who in mid-April were top of the table with a game in hand, then only took one point in their last five matches, finished fourth, and lost in the first round of the play-offs ......

And my local rugby club, Sutton Coldfield, who blew their promotion play-off match for the second season in a row ......

And my local non-league Step 8 side, Sutton United, who went into their final game, at home to Fairfield Villa, needing just a draw to secure a promotion place - and contrived to lose the match 2-3 .....
