Masterchef pt2.....

Postby Workingman » 15 May 2014, 21:05

....or Emperor's new clothes?

The food might look good, but what does it taste like?

Sorry, but if I want Art I go to an art gallery, if I want food I go to a cafe or cook it at home.

The early rounds were interesting and informative - despite Gregg (two Gs) eating with his mouth open - the semis and finals are pretentious twonk.

Now, let's deconstruct Yorkshire puddings or a pork pie, eh?

I don't watch Masterchef, partly because I'm fed up of cookery shows, partly because I can't stand Two Gs, and partly because I agree that much of what I've seen of it is pretentious twaddle. I also find it disgusting the way the chefs handle the food and push it round the plate until they have formed a work of art. I don't want anything to touch my food before it goes in my mouth except a variety of metal utensils.

I love it. I am glued to the TV when it is on. I can't guess who will win, but I think they are all fantastic.

So, let's get this right, for some of you it's not the food or how good it tastes, but how it looks.
And if it is presented by someone who looks good it has to be good.

I love it.

I want Jack or Ping to win.

Luke often looks like he's escaped from an asylum.

I felt that Luke was the least likely to win, but sometimes he has flashes of brilliance.

Luv it, luv it, luv it. Luke is like a Labrador puppy. I initially thought Ping had it sewn up but not sure now as Jack is brilliant. I've always fancied having a Michelin Taster meal after having something similar in Lanzarote a few years ago.

Yes, how lovely that would be.

I read in one of the papers this morning that Luke has a fan club now, and has received several offers of marriage!
