Have to admit I did think the worst

Have to admit I did think the worst

when Nico Rosberg went down the escape road bringing out the yellow flags. I am, with the stewards inquiry, prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt, but wish he could have qualified cleanly

I watched it live and agree with this from the Sky commentary immediately afterwards: "You cannot choose to lock a particular wheel at a particular corner on a particular lap...."

Had Nico tried for the turn and hit the barrier a yellow would have been thrown anyway, but he would have damaged the car and could have been injured.

The thought that Rosberg had cocked up on purpose never crossed my mind until the TV pundits pointed it out! Only he knows the truth of it, I suppose.
The run to the first corner will be crucial as ever at Monaco. I just hope that Rosberg and Lewis are sensible about it. I walked part of the course in 1980 and couldn't believe that they race F1 cars round there!

What a petulant little man Hamilton is. For as long as I can remember the driver in front gets the priority when both cars are to come in. Hamilton is happy for it to work that way when he is in front, so he has to live with it.

If anything Mercedes made the mistake in not recognising that it was a Safety Car incident when Sutil crashed - they should have come in straight away.

Excellent result for Marussia, first ever F1 points.

Yes, well done Jules Bianchi!

Aye, Lewis does tend to get the babby lip on when things don't go his way. But I still think he will win the title.

Vettel must think that he has shot a robin. The car died on him again today. Well done Ricciardo though!

They are all heroes though, really. When you have walked those streets (because thats what they are, streets) and think of 200mph plus cars hurtling down them, inches apart, then you realise how good the drivers really must be. Hats off to them all.

I loved the comment that some-one made

Vettle must wonder why he's got Webber's car this year

Sorry if everyone likes him, I don't

Mid 70s, when I was into F1 in a big way, a group of us went down the week before. We were camping a few miles away so during the night/early morning of the race we made our way into Monte Carlo so that we could sit in the woods overlooking La Rascasse.

In about 1999 I took the children and we drove the circuit in my 14BX before walking it. That hill from St Devote to Casino goes on forever, and the drop from Mirabeau, through Lowes hairpin, to Portier is one hell of a steep hill. We don't get the sense of either on TV.

I bet it is fascinating to have been there

I said exactly the same about Vettel having Webber's car, but I also said it when Daniel got bogged down at the start. I don't have a problem with Seb, I think he is a pretty honest and decent champ, unlike some others. I also think Daniel is showing that Webber was more petulant than we realised. I love Daniel his smile lights up the TV screen. I also really rate Daniel Kyvat.

Thrilled for Jules Bianchi, apart from when they said we need to beat Sauber. Can't believe they consider Sauber as low in the points as that

Oh Lewis, please grow up. If your eye was that bad, how come you didn't have your sunglasses on, you usually do, especially when you don't get your own way!!!!

DC is having a hard time convincing himself of Rosberg's honest mistake though isn't he? I have to say I will always have a little doubt too

This is interesting

But lets be honest when Lewis said people have won in Monaco that you wouldn't expect to, I don't think he meant Nico, I think he meant this man, but boy was I pleased
