Saundra will be loving this. We might not have the high mountains of the Alps and Pyrenees here in Yorkshire, but some of those hill are just as steep and they go on and on and on........

Today's stage has stretched the Peleton out like a mountain stage and that's very unusual for the early part of the race.

Didn't see any today, had the GP on the tv and tennis on the pc then on the tv - but will have it on each day from now on

It's a rest day on the 15th And the 21st so I shall be ready for a break

It was lovely watching them go through Wensleydale and Swaledale! By gum, those lads are fit though, aren't they? Up hill and down dale for a hundred odd miles, and then they do it all again the next day! I'm with Saundra though - Gerrouta t'way!

Bear in mind that John rides several times a week and cycled the coast to coast ride in two days last month, yesterday they parked up and then cycled 16 miles along the route to Holme Moss to watch. He said he felt that he'd had a really hard workout after what is a relatively short distance for him, that it was much more strenuous than any ride he's done before and it really brought home to him just how incredibly fit and focused the riders are.

I had to wait for the highlights as I was out. What atrocious weather! Poor Chris, he had a good chance of winning again.
