We watched it. I thought it was awful - Alex Salmond shouting and you couldn't hear a thing. I started to follow it on twitter. Most people seemed to agree that the questioning from the audience seemed very biased. If they do win independence and Salmond is their leader, then heaven help them is all I can say.

I wasn't all that keen tbh but hubby really wanted to watch it. I got more fun out of following the tweets and throwing a few of my own in.

I watched it and thought that Salmond won: hands down.

My main worry still remains that the "Yes" camp are not clear about all the negatives Independence will bring.

Tell me about Faslane, Rosyth, Kinloss, Lossiemouth and Leuchars. Explain how the NHS and BBC will work.What currency will be used.

There are so many questions, yet all we have so far are 'wish lists' depending on which way the vote goes.

I didn't feel Salmon came out of it looking st all good. Certainly not looking like the leader of a country.

I watched it, I think it will be a sad day if they go for Independence, I have a great respect for the Scots. Salmon is a rabble rouser and as said I think the audience's questions were selective (like Question a Time)
I think the Scots will go for Independence and that could have a negative effect on UK as well as Scotland.

If a Yes vote did succeed, there would be a great deal of adjustment needed in many areas. It doesn't bear thinking about really. I think on the whole most English people are assuming that the Yes vote will not succeed and then we can all settle down again. However, this may not be the case.

Caught a bit of the debate last night. Salmond seemed to come out on top. Alistair Darling seemed fairly typical of machine politicians these days. Finger jabbing, seeming on the brink of rage that anyone could possibly hold a different view to his. Salmond seemed more of a human being, somehow.

Still haven't got a clue if it's good or bad though!

I missed it. However one thing I noticed is that the NO people saw it as a Salmond win. That is a change. Almost all floating votes are going YES. It is going to be an interesting finish.
