I have tried that sugar thingy few times and on every one I ended up with a sugary lump in the bottom of the pan.

It can go brilliantly, when you're blithely thinking, oh, I think I'll have a go at this :D
Then when you think, well that looks impressive and was really easy, biggest ooops ever

I enjoyed tonight's :)

I hadn't thought of that. I believed it when they said they couldn't choose because it was so close, innocent naive little thing that I am. :P

Kate has gone. She had a disastrous couple of days.

Martha is hanging in there, still, but it cannot be long before she is shown the door. No shame in that for her, she has done so well for one so young.

I haven't watched it yet (though I already knew who went before reading this thread) so I don't know why Kate went but I am disappointed. I liked her.

I particularly liked her hair!

Kate was my least favourite, I couldn't warm to her, but I did like the look of those lemon meringue eclairs that she made. I've never made choux pastry but I'm going to have to give it a go now :)
Nancy is now my least favourite, I liked her at first but she's coming across - to me anyway - as being a bit smug now. I'm rooting for Chetna and Richard.

What was Mary wearing? Didn't like that jacket at all and usually she looks so nice.

Oh it's great isn't it, that it brings out all these opinions :D
Loz apparently That Jacket sold out by 10 o'clock the next morning ;) :D

Debih I first made profiteroles when I was very young, had no idea they were meant to be tricky and so of course they were fine - I just read the recipe and did it :?
But actually I'd stand by that, so long as you read basic instructions (eg Good Housekeeping) they're pretty failsafe.

I like both Richard and Chetna too, but Luis is lovely, and have nothing against Nancy :)
