Suff please don't worry about the number of posts you are making - if people want to read they will, if not then they don't have to!

It keeps the board moving ;) 8-)

Suff, I have learned a lot from your posts so please, keep 'em coming!!

Not that you have changed my mind though :) but I do feel a little less worried if Scotland does vote for going it alone.

Okay I'm back for one more post too and then I'll shut up about Independence until Friday.

I'll start by saying to Rodo that I recognised you were talking about all the politicians. I am becoming increasingly angry about many things in this referendum vote and decided it was best for me to bow out rather than carry on and my comment about boiling my head was my attempt at trying to lighten my comments as I left.

I know many people see the Indy vote as a rejection of the rest of the UK. I really don't see it this way- I only see it as a way for my country to gain it's own government which will put Scotland first. I don't hate the English, Welsh or Northern Irish and if any of these countries wished Independence then I would be of the opinion that the residents of these countries should be entitled to vote on that.

I also recognise the anger of the English people regarding Scots MPs voting on matters that only pertain to England-that would annoy me too and I have said so many times in the past.

WM I have enjoyed discussing Independence with you on this board and recognise your loss of interest wasn't because of what was being said on here.

I'm a bit like Suff in that I feel that I have been talking a little too much on here about Independence and have probably bored half of you to tears. However the Indy vote is very important to me and it is hard to be quiet when something so momentous is happening around me. Anyway I felt like people were really beginning to feel annoyed by the whole thing and some of their annoyance was annoying me so for the sake of inner harmony I won't bother commenting again until afterwards.

I'll be back on Friday with a question for some of you-you have been warned

My post was also aimed at the politicians, not the every day Scots.

I have been quite uninterested in the whole thing really - if the Scots want independence, let "them" have it. I would prefer them not to go but I have no say in the matter. The over riding thing that comes over to me is that those politicians on the Yes side seem to be acting like little bully boys and shouting very loudly to try to get their own way. It comes across from what I have seen (which I admit isn't a huge amount) that they are doing it for their own egos.

But it really got my back up the other day when Government were promising "them" if they stay "they" can continue to get more money per person than the rest of the UK. That really annoys me. Why should "they" - its bad enough that "they" do already without the government dangling a carrot in front of people to try and get "them" to stay. If "they" want to go, let "them" - don't promise things at the rest of the UK's expense. Its like persuading a child to eat their greens by promising them a pudding afterwards!

I have put my "" around every "they" and "them" as I mean in a very loose way - if you know what I mean.

I feel a bit like you Debih. I hope the Scots stay because I believe we really are better as the UK rather than separate nations. I am not a bit impressed by the last ditch attempt at bribing the Scots to stay. If they stay it should be on equal terms with the rest of us. I think if we do manage to keep together, then there should be 'devo max' for the English as well, although no doubt the politicians will come up with the excuse that 'it is just not possible'. The bullying we have been witnessing is undignified and unworthy of the Scots. I read this morning that some of the NO voters were apprehensive about admitting it. Says a lot really.

I think a lot of No voters will have been keeping quiet, and there will be a reasonable No majority on Thursday. At lest I hope so - unity is strength and in these unsettled times I do not think splintering off into smaller units is good for anyone! You know this could unsettle the whole of the UK and even Europe, I know the Catalans for example are watching with interest. We have massive threats to our way of life in the West, coming from Islam and also from the Chinese in my opinion. The squabbles between us are nothing compared to that................We need to stick together!

I hope we won't all regret this years down the line, if it is a Yes this week :(
