She deserved it - especially that technical challenge - but her sails even went round :D

Yes, she really stood out last night. Richard was runner up IMO, Louis was patching stuff up all the time and was outclassed!

I loved it. I thought they were all fab but a very deserving winner.

We were saying how well the show does to keep the winner under wraps. It was obviously filmed at least a couple of weeks ago, if not longer and not only were all the contestants from this show there but also their families. I am amazed that it isn't leaked.

We did wonder if they filmed three endings with each of them winning and then only showed the real winner on the night so still no one knew until the night - but I don't think you'd get that reaction from them if they did that. I am off to google to see how they keep it a secret!

My colleague heard her interviewed on tv this morning. It was filmed in June.

She said that her younger grandchildren forgot about it the next day but her elder ones were threatened with prison if they told anyone that she had won.   :D

That's a long time for all those people to keep a secret - the participants, their families, the presenters, the judges, the crew. I think its amazing that it didn't get out - and brilliant as nowdays everything is leaked and it just spoils it for the viewer.

Loved it! Nancy was so consistent right through the whole series. I had expected Richard to win, five star bakers and all that, and I felt sorry for him when it all went badly for him. Nancy's windmill was brilliant! I think this was the best series so far, really loved it.

Maybe they're paid to keep the secret with a year's supply of cakes and pastries? It'd work for me :P

Seriously though it is very impressive that the result isn't leaked!
