Poor old Mia has a poorly leg. She is limping and I feel really guilty as I really struggled to get her tablets down her last night and at one point I did grab her leg to stop her running away. I had forgotten that until I thought about it. So tonight I wrapped her in a blanket and got them down that way.
She has been to the vets and Simon is pretty sure it is nothing serious, and definitely not broken, phew!!!! He bent it this way and that way, back on itself, pulled forward and made her get all her claws out. He said the pain is definitely around the elbow, but it isn't major pain. The elbow felt a little swollen but not much different to the other one, so he thinks she may have a bit of arthritis and something (probably me pulling it) has irritated it.
She had some Metacam this morning, but she can't really have much of that because of her kidneys, so please keep your fingers crossed it gets better and quickly, as I hate see her limping around. Plus I do feel horrible and guilty. Simon did say cats limp quite easily on their front legs, so limping isn't necessarily a sign of pain, just stiffness or discomfort. Apparently back leg limping is far more significant. Cats can manage quite well with three legs especially is one of them is a front one. Not sure if he was hoping to make me feel better or worse telling me that
I forget, what pills does Mia get at the moment? Have you tried hiding them in a piece of a webbox stick?
