Good morning Halloween Monday

Postby Ally » 31 Oct 2016, 06:52

Good morning.

Forecast nice again. 8-)

I've no school until Wednesday - it's All Souls Day tomorrow which means a holiday so the Spanish in their wisdom make today a puente (bridge) day.

I'm picking mum and dad up at 10am and they'll be over here until I take them to the airport at 3 for their 5.45 flight.

They've had a 45 day holiday and loved every minute of it...I'll really miss them. :(

We're out tonight for a Halloween party at Jose's..that'll keep my mind occupied.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning both, morning all :D

Ally, I hope your mum an dad have a good flight home - that 45 days has sped by, so it won't be long until they are back again (((Ally))) xx

Saundra we have thick mist, which apparently will lift by lunchtime, but we'll see  Have a good day xx

Well another Monday, so another WW meeting  Lunch with Emma afterwards, and a trip round the shops. I am tempted to buy my Ceeword cards and wrappings before the shops get too much of a bun fight ;)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning all. MrsC and I are off to North Yorkshire for a couple of days; hopefully we'll get a lot of fresh air and good food!

Morning all

Ally, the time has gone by fast - safe travels back to the UK to your parents, and as both Saundra and Kaz say - not much longer and they'll be back with you. I'm sure that time will fly by equally fast xx

Saundra, I don't mind Halloween, but then the kids in our neighbourhood are usually really good and respect the 'no trick or treat' sign I put up on the door. Normally I happily participate but with three cats that aren't allowed out the front door it's just easier to just say no to the whole thing and not risk a cat getting out. Were it a weekend I'd be at Karl and Nadine's and join them for the evening (and eat all their sweets)

Kaz, good luck with WW today. As for the c-word shopping, I think it makes sense to get the 'mundane' shopping out the way, esp as you now probably still have a good selection of cards and wrapping paper.

Cromwell, enjoy Yorkshire, beautiful part of the world

A very very misty start to the day here as well; but burning off already. But they're expecting it back this evening which will make Halloween nice and spooky for the kids :D
I had such a productive weekend; Calais wine run on Saturday and then yesterday I sorted the greenhouse, built another hutch to overwinter any hogs that come my way, planted 70 pansy plug plants that a friend gave me and just had a good pottering day - haven't had one like that in a long time; it was such fun. Just wish it were dry enough to give the lawn a mow.

Usual work day for me and then home via the shops :D

have a lovely day everyone xxx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Safe journey for you parents Ally.

Well here we go again, the driveway peeps arrived on the dot of 8.30 so more noise and dust promised for today. Not too much hassle for us though, at least it's all outside, although I'm guessing getting in and out could be tricky at times.

Think we'll be going out for a walk after brekkie.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning (no doubt afternoon by the time this appears) :)
Ally I saw Ton's post yesterday that then disappeared...she's a witch

Saundra what a shame about your weather, it's beautiful here after a very foggy start, blue skies and sunshine, and warm too :)
Meriad what a lovely weekend, I do wish we lived nearer the ports, I used to love the Calais trips.
I've already been out and back from Sainsburys, did well to be there early as it's always super-busy.

We have sweets for the trick or treaters, there are usually a few regulars call, all well-behaved but then this is a little network of cul-de-sacs so nice and safe for them.
Aww Ally, always horrid saying goodbye (((xx)))
Have a good time Cromwell, love Yorkshire :)

Afternoon all, quite dull and overcast here, but not cold. My tummy is still acting up, we set out for a walk but I had to come back as I wasn't feeling great. So I'm taking it easy for the rest of the day (nothing new there ;) ). It is a bank holiday here so there are lots of people out and about. Have a good day everyone :)
