Manxie, I think it is what happens when networks do not talk to each other nicely, or one is down.

I have been back to the insurer and changed the DD so that there are five working days between pension in and their payment going out.

That's how I do it Wm, all dd's are on the 5th, my pension comes in on the last day of the month .
I like having them all on the same day, then I can see how much is left.

Thanks Di, that sounds like a good plan, I will do that with my DDs as well.

I think my circumstances are because my pension is paid every 28 days the dds etc come out monthly on set dates.

I now always ensure sufficient funds are in that account as a precaution as well and transfer surplusses to my everyday account.

I get paid on the 28th of every month (or if falls on a weekend, then the Friday just before that weekend); and all my DD's come off on the 1st.

I do have some DD's though that I can't change the date for some reason but they're smaller ones.

What I find very annoying about this whole thing is; had it been anyone not confident in themselves and their rights then they'd have just put up and shut up and paid the bank penalty.... the banks really do take the p*ss at times

RIa, all of our DDs except Sky come out on the 1st. It makes budgeting so much easier to know that all of them have been paid at the start of the month.

Oddly enough though, we never know exactly when John will be paid. It's supposed to be on the Thursday before the last Friday in the month but it's rare that it happens that way. It's always before the 1st though so no worries there.

The dates when the pension from my former employer is paid into my bank account is shown in the diary we get in December each year.
The earliest is in January and December. It is 20th of each month this year. It is between 25th and 28th for the other months.
My state pension is paid every four weeks. I always check that it has been paid as I cannot remember the dates.
I only get one pay slip in April showing how much I will be paid each month for the following year. I will only be issued with a new one if any of the totals alter by more than ten pounds.
This is saving the company postage and paper.
We still get a P60 in April showing how much tax I have paid.
Mrs.e has three private pensions which are paid on the same date each month. It doesn't matter which day of the week it is.
